Nel Club
In 2010, Leonardo moved to Barcelona with the idea of bringing his background as a jazz musician and improviser into a clubbing environment. Immersing himself in the city’s vibrant underground electronic scene, he adopted the artist name Leomode and began performing live alongside DJs, creating hybrid sets that merged improvisation with house and techno in iconic clubs like Row14, Macarena, and La Terrraza.
He became part of the Fake Out collective, performing regularly with DJ Turko (the founder) and occasionally collaborating with other DJs such as Matteo Floris, Plankton, and the HEX techno movement.
Ha anche organizzato un evento regolare al club Ocaña in collaborazione con DJ Turko, Simonal Bie (aka Siwo) e gli artisti visivi di D-Light Box (Jaime Ramirez, Jose de Heredia...), invitando altri musicisti e VJ a partecipare e a fare jam session. Durante queste sessioni, Leonardo ha eseguito musica originale che fondeva techno, house, downtempo e jazz con un tocco di sperimentazione. Come sfida personale, ha realizzato i beat utilizzando esclusivamente strumenti virtuali autoprogettati, lavorando con la sintesi additiva per modellare i suoni onda per onda. I suoi set dal vivo iniziavano con brani più lenti e d'atmosfera per arrivare gradualmente a ritmi ballabili e groove elettronici, preparando il terreno per la performance del DJ ospite.
